1How do I apply?
Please go to the Application for Certification page. You can complete the Application Form online and upload all documentation. Alternatively, you can download the Application Form in PDF. Attach your completed form alongside design details, photographs (in colour), drawing specifications, manuals and test reports (in English) and email to CCB at comtest@comtest.com.au
2How long does the application and certification process normally take?
Lead times can vary depending on demand. Generally the process takes 10 days, involving a 5-day lead time and a 5-day assessment period.
3What are the costs involved?

4What forms of payment does CCB accept?
CCB accepts payment by Bank transfer, BPAY, Credit Card (1.5% fee is added for payments by credit card)
5What is the process?
Complete the application form and attach all relevant documentation. Once submitted you will be sent a reference application number. CCB will review your application and documentation, process the non-refundable payment and send you an invoice. Your application will be assigned to an Assessor and you will be contacted if any further information or clarification is required. If the assessor finds the application can proceed, all information is then passed onto a Reviewer. Once the assessor and reviewer are satisfied the application and documentation meet the requirements then CCB will issue a Certification Body Statement.
6What happens if my application is unsuccessful?
If your application is unsuccessful you will be notified by CCB and asked to resubmit additional documentation. There is a maximum number of three (3) resubmissions within a period of three (3) months from the time of notification for additional information. If after this 3 month period you fail to provide the required documentation, CCB will send you notification of the cancellation of your application and the application fee will be forfeited. A complete new application will be required once an application has been cancelled and full fees will apply.
7Can I appeal if my application is unsuccessful?
Yes, an appeal can be addressed in writing to the General Manager via the web page www.comtestcertificationbody.com.au/feedback stating your contact details, application number and reason for your appeal. At this time you should submit any information/documentation in support of your appeal.
8How long does the Certification Body Statement last?
A Certification Body Statement lasts for 5 years if the product remains unchanged. If you change the product it must be reassessed and test reports may need to be updated to the current standards and a new Certification Body Statement issued.
9How do I make a complaint or give feedback?
This can be addressed in writing to the General Manager via the web page www.comtestcertificationbody.com.au/feedback stating your contact details, application number (if applicable) and reason for your complaint or feedback. At this time you should submit any information/documentation in support of your complaint or feedback.
